With the passing of the centuries nature and man patiently forged a framework and a soul for Tulette. Under the blue skies of Provence, scorched by sun and light, the village - surrounded by vineyards - exposed its old buildings, its ramparts, its towers, its renaissance windows, and its mysterious paths, guardians of the past.

Situated at the southern extremity of the Department of the Drome, the community of Tulette is delimited to the North and the South by the Enclave of the Popes, part of the Department of the Vaucluse. During its history, the town has been traversed by those travelling from the Alps to the Rhône Valley and from those travelling from the northern part of the Drôme to the Vaucluse cities of Carpentras and Avignon.

This position as a crossroads led to its settlement by early peoples as attested to by the archaeological discoveries in many locations. A stroll through the village will permit you to admire the vestiges of the fourteenth century ramparts and the renaissance style windows on the facades of the towers and the old streets.
